About Dr. Usman Barkat PT

Dr. Usman Barkat PT is a Consultant Physiotherapist and the Managing Director of Tariq Medicare Hospital, Khanewal, Punjab, Pakistan. Through his practice, PhysioUBK, he delivers evidence-based musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and sports rehabilitation care.

He graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Sargodha Medical College, University of Sargodha in 2017, followed by an MS in Physical Therapy from Isra University. His early career spanned internships across primary and tertiary care hospitals, work as a certified cardiopulmonary physical therapist treating post-operative cardiac patients in the ICU of CPE Institute of Cardiology, and service as a consultant physiotherapist with the Alkhidmat Foundation (2017–2021).

His clinical expertise includes dry needling, cupping therapy, intra-articular injection therapy, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, alongside modern manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation.

At Tariq Medicare Hospital, he leads a multi-doctor OPD setup while running his physiotherapy practice under the PhysioUBK banner — combining hands-on rehabilitation with practical nutrition and lifestyle guidance for injury recovery.
